Kiddie Sunshine Centre Nursery School
Our goal is to allow children to think for themselves, to discover and to create. We endeavor
to lead children to respect others.
Much of our program is play-oriented. It is through play and social interactions that
young children begin to develop their self-concept. Play provides an opportunity for children to
learn social, emotional, intellectual, and motor skills.
They learn about things like the alphabet, space, seasons, good health and much more. They will play both inside and outside as weather allows.

NEW!! The MB Government is making changes to all Nursery Schools across the province. This means that the Centre will no longer receive the enhanced funding to cover Nursery School costs. The enhanced Nursery School funding model has not achieved its main goal of improving affordability and expanding child care accessibility for low income families, as it was always used by all families and not just families in need. Effective July 1, 2021, our rates per class will go from $5/class to $10.40/class. Families in need will still have access to funding by applying for subsidy through MB childcare. To apply or to see if you qualify for subsidy, please visit https://www.gov.mb.ca/fs/childcare/families/childcare_subsidies.html
You are encouraged to apply well in advance as approval takes several weeks. Feel free to contact us for any more information or if you need help filling out the application.
Age Policy & Class Size
Classes will consist of a mix of three-year-old and four-year-old children who will be entering kindergarten in one to two years from the beginning of the nursery school year (September).
Class sizes for the current year are up to a maximum of ten children and the current session is for children born in 2016 and 2017. Class sizes are between 10-14 children.
Each nursery school class will begin only when a minimum of 6 children are registered.
